ABOUT THE PROGRAM:

  • Description:

Join the NYSBA Family Law Section for a dynamic two-day CLE program, showcasing the art of oral advocacy in emergency matrimonial proceedings.  This energetic and fast-paced program features live mock demonstrations of emergency applications argued before trial-level judges. Experienced matrimonial practitioners will simulate high-stakes oral arguments on critical issues including exclusive use and occupancy, supervised visitation, orders of protection, pendente lite applications, and discovery disputes.

This program offers an invaluable, behind-the-scenes look into the strategies that make oral arguments compelling under pressure, as well as what judges find persuasive when evaluating emergency relief requests in courtroom scenarios.  Whether you’re a seasoned litigator or building your courtroom skills, you’ll gain practical strategies, real-time judicial feedback, and a deeper understanding of how to effectively advocate in fast-moving situations that demand clarity, preparation, and precision.  Earn CLE credit while watching the courtroom in action— and elevate your courtroom advocacy without the stress of having to argue yourself!

Also included is the ever-popular Matrimonial Law Update, providing attendees with a comprehensive review of the most important recent decisions and developments in New York family law.

Whether you're sharpening your courtroom skills or staying current on legal trends, this CLE is a must-attend event that blends real-time learning with practical tools you can immediately apply in practice.
